I'm Mackenzie Christensen, and MKN is my one-person studio in Pomfret, Connecticut. Before this I taught — which mostly means I spent ten years explaining complicated things to people who didn't have time for jargon. That turns out to be the whole job here too.
Driving around the Quiet Corner, what struck me was how many genuinely good businesses there are here, and how rarely the pictures online do them justice. Usually it's not neglect — it's that nobody has had a spare day to sort it out.
So that's what I do. I come out with cameras, photograph what's actually there, and build the website around those pictures. You keep working; I stay out of the way.
