Business challenge

The Independent School Art Instructors Association has been meeting annually for over a hundred years, and its members are art teachers — an audience with a low tolerance for an ugly website. The organization needed a home that could carry the 2027 Boston and Cambridge conference: schedule, keynote, venues, registration, and a hundred years of institutional memory behind it.

Our solution

For an arts association, the site is part of the programme. We treated it like an exhibition catalog — generous images, real member work, quiet typography — and structured the conference content so a teacher can find the Friday evening ICA times in one scroll. Registration sits one click from every section rather than buried behind a menu.

Business outcome

2 cities

one weekend, one clear place to find all of it

The 2027 conference spans two campuses and multiple institutions across Boston and Cambridge. Members now have a single reference for schedule, venues, keynote and registration — and the board can reuse the same structure for every conference that follows instead of rebuilding it annually.

Creative deliverables

  • Association website with conference microsite structure
  • Day-by-day schedule with venue detail for ICA Boston and LUCAD
  • Keynote and presenter feature pages
  • Member work gallery and print showcase
  • Registration flow for conference attendees
  • Editorial layout system the board can extend each year

More work

Let's have a friendly conversation about the business.

Thirty free minutes about what's working and what isn't. No deck, no pressure, and an honest answer about whether I'm the right fit — including if the answer is no.

I reply to every message personally, within one business day.

I'm taking on two new projects next month.

Not ready to start a project? That's completely fine.

Send me your website address and I'll record a free five-minute video walking through the three things I'd improve first. Yours to keep, whether we ever work together or not. No pitch at the end.
